I have spent the entire evening reliving CRHS good times. My family left Island Heights in 1961 and moved to Arkansas. I've been living in Texas since 1991. I teach government and am the Key Club sponsor. We have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I  still remember CRHS and the fun times of the early 1960's! Sock hops at lunch time, bon fires before the football games, gymnastics and field hockey. Susan Buchanan's sparkling white keds! Watching Ben Hur in Washington D. C. on our 8th grade class trip. Thanks for the time and love it took many of you to put this site together. Sounds like you had a great time at your reunion.

Central grad from '66 -- enjoyed seeing some
faces and names I haven't thought of since
their graduation -- especially the
Seaside Park/Heights upper classmen (grads).
Wishing you all the best ... Charlie Leonard

Hello Everyone,
I've been on Classmates.com and didn't see anything about a Reunion.  I wish I had.  I would have made sure I was there.  Linda just emailed me about it.  Not sure I can make it but love this site and hearing about everyone who's written notes.  Can you believe it?! Forty five years...get outa town.
My heart stopped when I saw Pat Kaufman as one of the deceased.  Does anyone know when?
Hope to see you all but if not lift your drink to me one time.
Love and Hugs,
Linda

This conversation is just too funny.  As much as I would like to hear more about Dolly and Fred.....back to the current topic...no one cares about it either way, hair or no hair.  Just keep a good sense of humor.  Sounds like you've both hit the jackpot there!

Fred, please don't get the impression that I'm into comb-overs. I tried the shaved head gig for a while, but no ladies loved it, including my wife. Hey, lets not delude ourselves, at 62 we become invisible. (not a bad place to be, actually)

Well Hello Dolly!

If my apology didn't arouse interest in our classmates, your response surely will!!  The ones with early alzheimers will be up in the attic searching for their yearbooks wondering , "Who the hell is Dolly? I don't remember Fred!"
Linda's interest is so piqued, her e-mail back after my posting , was smoking!!!! We should promise one another not to kiss and tell......not even the reunion committee!!!!

Thank you Linda for your efforts in getting a hold of me and all our friends, then keeping me informed.  I was just reading the guest book and it is so good to see all the responses and read the comments.  Yes Linda, I will get some current photos in the album (tonight if I can figure  out how to do it - it's tough joining the 21st century).

Heard about this site from Linda as she & I were college classmates.  And although I went to Lakewood HS, I knew quite a few people from CRHS, although more from the Class of '62 & '63.  Spent lots of summers at the end of Butler Blvd. in the area that was then called Glen Cove.  I was married to Bill Wood (HollyPark) Class of '63 for almost 31 1/2 yr.  He died in March '99.

This website is terrific and the pictures are great!
Wishing you all the best life has to offer; enjoy your reunion or the fun of catching up even if you don't get there.

Hello again:
There is just one more comment I wanted to make.
I was very sad to see how many are no longer with us. I would guess that the list is still a little longer.
It shows that life is too short not to have a good time.
See you all at the reunion.

The website is great but how did it get to be a 45th reunion?  Where has the time gone?  I'm like Ken Chinery in that I was graduated in 1963 but I started out with the Class of '64!  I'll enjoy keeping up with you all....maybe even make the big do in July 2009.

Retired in Texas and using electronics to stay in touch with everyone.  Am truly interested in how everyone's life is turning out.  The past years had twists and turns, but we all had a truly good beginning at Central.  Can you believe I actually taught 7th grade for 3 years at Vorhees Twp, near Cherry Hill?  Can't wait to sit an listen to each of your tales.  Ain't life grand.  Sam

Reading this entire website this morning was a great way to appear busy at work.  I kept making nonsensical notes on a notepad and saying "hmmmm" occasionally to give the impression I was doing legal research.

All kidding aside, this was a huge undertaking and it is fantastic!  Congratulations to the Reunion Committee, Jackie, Jerry and Linda. I just hope more people leave messages.

This web site has kept me fascinated for longer than I care to mention.  My hat is off to all who put this together.  I graduated in '63 but many of the pictures here are of present and past friends.  There are a few friends that I wasn't aware of that passed away.  Bad way to find out.  I'm sure that the picture of Dave Bassinder is chuckling about his new last name "Bannister" in the slide show that shows him bowling (we were on the bowling team together and won the conference in my senior year).  A little mistake here and there never hurt anyone.............great job!
